WHAT IS DIFFERENT BASKETBALL ACADEMY?
Welcome to the Newest Approach of what most know as AAU Basketball. We have completely re-designed the typical off-season model and made it as efficient as possible for both the player and the parent. We intend to combine our five main pillars to maximize the players off season both physically and mentally. Our five pillars include Learning, Skill Development, Mental Health, Strength & Conditioning, and Live Game-play. We offer three sessions, which includes the Spring (MARCH, APRIL, MAY,) , Summer (JUNE, JULY, AUGUST) , and FALL (SEPTEMBER, OCTOBER, NOVEMBER). Each player is allowed to play in as many sessions as they want whether it is just one session or all three. At the beginning of each session, each player will sit down with Coach Dom and come up with at least one main thing and a maximum of two things to REALLY improve on. During every week of the session there will be two practices a week, one in which they will be in very small groups getting individualized attention on what they want to work on as well as a team centered practice which will incorporate team concepts and strength and conditioning. Each player will get their own tracking log where we will be tracking their progress from day one of the session to the very last day of the session so they can see their own personal improvement. They will also be meeting with a Coach weekly to talk about their Mental Health to make sure each player is comfortable, confident, and on the same page with the coaches. They then will get to take what they have learned and put into action with a local tournament schedule which will prohibit long traveling, long weekends, and late nights. This will lead to great opportunities to compete and use the things they learned in our practices throughout the session. WHAT SEPARATES US FROM OTHERS?
We are focused on SKILL DEVELOPMENT FIRST! We are not so worried about going to tournaments all over the country, especially for the younger age groups. Your child's off-season should consist of their own personal skill & mental development as well as learning about the game. On top of that we add in a Strength and Conditioning component catered to the players age. There is certain types of strength and conditioning workouts that fit for each age group because of their growth and overall strength and cardio. Games will allow the players to use what they have learned through personal skill development and team practices to maximize their experience in the off-season. With our tracking logs they will be able to see where they have improved and when they need to put more time into their skills. To wrap up all of that we want to teach the players the correct way to win and enjoy the game!

We instruct when and why we use a skill and teach how they can keep improving on it on their own.
STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING
We strive to make our athletes the strongest and most well conditioned athletes they can be. All while keeping them injury free through stretching and mobilization exercises.
We use live game play to let them experience the things they have learned and apply them in real time.
We maximize development by highlighting the specifics of what the player wants to improve on and we track it with our skill development log. We make sure the player understands it's acceptable to make mistakes if doing it with max effort.
We communicate with our players one a very consistent basis to see what's going through their minds. Positive or negative we stay on top of it to make them the most comfprtbale as possible.
